By making a booking or payment through HotelBooking, you acknowledge and agree to this Payment Policy together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Payment Options
Depending on the hotel, booking type, payment provider, and availability, HotelBooking may offer one or more of the following payment options:
UPI
Credit card
Debit card
Net banking
Digital wallets
Payment gateways
Bank transfer
Partial payment
Pay at Hotel
Other authorized payment methods
Available payment options will normally be displayed during checkout.
2. Online Payment
For prepaid bookings, customers may be required to pay the full or partial booking amount before confirmation.
A booking will ordinarily be treated as successfully paid only after HotelBooking or its authorized payment provider receives confirmation of successful payment.
Customers should retain the payment receipt, transaction ID, and booking confirmation for future reference.
3. Pay at Hotel
Certain properties may offer a “Pay at Hotel” option.
Where this option is available:
The customer may reserve the room without paying the entire amount online;
Payment must be made directly to the hotel according to the booking conditions;
The hotel may accept cash, UPI, card, or other payment methods at its discretion;
The customer should verify accepted payment methods before arrival;
Applicable cancellation and no-show conditions will continue to apply.
A hotel may request a valid payment method, advance deposit, or other reasonable booking guarantee where this was disclosed during booking.
4. Partial Payment
HotelBooking may allow customers to pay a portion of the booking amount online and the remaining amount at the hotel.
The booking confirmation should indicate:
Total booking value
Amount paid online
Balance payable
Applicable taxes
Payment due date or stage
Payment recipient
Customers are responsible for paying the outstanding amount according to the confirmed booking conditions.
5. Payment Authorization
By submitting payment details, you confirm that:
You are authorized to use the selected payment method;
The information supplied is accurate;
Sufficient funds or credit are available;
The transaction is lawful.
HotelBooking or the payment provider may reject a transaction where authorization fails.
6. Payment Processing
Online payments may be processed through independent authorized payment service providers, banks, card networks, UPI systems, wallet providers, or payment gateways.
HotelBooking may not directly control the processing systems of such providers.
Payment processing may therefore also be subject to the applicable provider's terms and conditions.
7. Payment Security
HotelBooking aims to use reasonable security measures for payment transactions.
Customers should never share confidential authentication information such as:
UPI PIN
ATM PIN
Debit/credit card PIN
Internet banking password
OTP
Complete confidential banking credentials
HotelBooking representatives will not ask customers to disclose an OTP, UPI PIN, banking password, or card PIN for processing a refund.
8. Payment Gateway
HotelBooking may integrate with one or more third-party payment gateways.
The payment gateway may process information necessary to complete a transaction.
HotelBooking does not intend to store complete card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, OTPs, or internet banking passwords.
Customers should review the applicable payment provider's terms and privacy practices where appropriate.
9. Booking Confirmation After Payment
Successful payment does not by itself constitute a confirmed hotel reservation unless a booking confirmation is generated or communicated by HotelBooking.
Customers should verify that they have received a valid:
Booking ID
Reservation confirmation
Hotel details
Check-in/check-out information
If payment has been debited but no booking confirmation is received, customers should contact HotelBooking support.
10. Failed Payment
A transaction may fail due to reasons including:
Insufficient funds
Incorrect payment information
Bank rejection
UPI failure
Payment gateway error
Network interruption
Transaction timeout
Authentication failure
Technical problems
A failed payment does not ordinarily create a confirmed reservation unless HotelBooking subsequently confirms the booking.
11. Amount Debited but Booking Not Confirmed
In some cases, money may be debited even though the booking is not successfully confirmed.
Where HotelBooking or the payment provider does not receive successful transaction confirmation, the amount may be automatically reversed according to the applicable bank/payment system process.
If the amount is not reversed within the applicable period, customers should contact us and provide:
Customer name
Registered mobile number
Registered email
Transaction ID
Payment reference
Payment date
Amount
Booking ID, if generated
HotelBooking will assist with verification.
12. Duplicate Payment
If a customer is charged more than once for the same confirmed reservation because of a verified technical or payment-processing issue, the eligible duplicate amount will be refunded.
The customer should provide transaction references for all duplicate payments.
13. Booking Amount
The total booking amount may consist of:
Room tariff
Applicable GST/taxes
Extra-person charges
Meal-plan charges

Where legally required, appropriate tax information will be provided on the relevant invoice or receipt.

Such fees may be non-refundable where clearly disclosed and permitted under applicable law.
16. Currency
Unless otherwise stated, prices and payments for bookings through HotelBooking in India will be displayed and processed in Indian Rupees (INR/₹).
For international payment methods, the customer's bank or payment provider may apply currency-conversion or international transaction charges.
HotelBooking is not responsible for charges independently imposed by the customer's bank or payment provider.
17. International Cards

Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed to the original payment method.
19. Refund Processing Time
Once an eligible refund is approved, HotelBooking will normally initiate the refund within 5–7 business days.
The time required for the amount to appear after initiation may depend on the customer's:
Bank
Card issuer

Customers should contact us if an approved refund is not received within the expected processing period.
20. Refund to Original Payment Method
Refunds will ordinarily be processed to the payment method originally used for the booking.
For example:
UPI payment → UPI-linked account
Credit card payment → Same credit card account
Debit card payment → Same debit card-linked account
Wallet payment → Applicable wallet
Alternative refund methods may be used where required or permitted by applicable law or payment-system rules.
21. Cash Refunds
HotelBooking does not ordinarily provide cash refunds for bookings paid electronically.
Where payment was made directly to a hotel, any eligible refund may need to be processed by the hotel according to the applicable booking conditions.
22. Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges depend on the cancellation conditions applicable to the booking.
Depending on the booking, cancellation charges may be:
Nil during the free-cancellation period
A percentage of booking value
One night's tariff
A fixed amount
Up to the entire booking amount for non-refundable reservations
Customers should review cancellation terms before payment.
23. No-Show Charges
If a customer fails to check in without cancelling within the applicable period, the booking may be treated as a No-Show.
Depending on the booking conditions, the hotel may retain or charge part or all of the booking amount.
24. Payment at Hotel Disputes
For payments made directly to a hotel, customers should obtain an invoice or receipt from the property.
HotelBooking may assist with a complaint relating to a Platform booking, but the hotel remains responsible for accurately accounting for payments collected directly by it.
25. Hotel/Vendor Settlement
Where HotelBooking collects payment on behalf of a participating accommodation provider, the eligible amount may be settled with the hotel according to the applicable Vendor agreement.

HotelBooking may investigate chargebacks and provide relevant transaction or booking records to authorized payment providers.
Customers should not initiate fraudulent or misleading chargebacks for services legitimately booked or consumed.
27. Fraud Prevention
For payment security, HotelBooking or its payment providers may conduct transaction verification.
Transactions may be held, rejected, or cancelled where reasonably suspected of:
Unauthorized card use
Identity theft
Payment fraud
Account takeover
Promotional abuse
Suspicious transaction activity
Other unlawful activity
Additional verification may be requested where reasonably necessary.
28. Payment Links

29. Invoices and Receipts
Depending on the booking structure, customers may receive:
Booking confirmation
